Writing Studies 

Primary investigator on: “Emotional Intelligence in the Writing Center” 

This IRB-approved mixed-methods study seeks to examine whether and how trainings designed to specifically enhance writing tutors’ emotional intelligence during tutoring sessions has an impact on the students they work with. Data collection will occur in the Winter 2025 semester: analysis in the Spring/Summer 2025 semesters. We are seeking publication in the Writing Center Journal.

Public Health 

Qualitative methods specialist on: (title)

This IRB-approved mixed-methods study examines medical students’ perceptions of their own biases and what they learned from a three-part workshop training series designed to provide education about implicit biases. In this project, I am tasked with leading the research team through the thematic coding process utilizing Dedoose. Upon completion of qualitative coding, I will assist in writing of qualitative results into the final manuscript.
